About Me
My Experience
Designer on several AAA videogame titles, including New World, Star Wars: The Old Republic, WWE 2K22, Diablo 4, World of Warcraft, God of War (PS4), Shadow of the Tomb Raider, God of War 3, and God of War Ascension.
My previous experience has primarily focused on cinematic design, camera design and encounter design, but I am highly proficient at many aspects of game design, including level building, scripting, narrative design, and sound design.
As senior cinematic designer at NetEase, I am responsible for developing cinematics from previs to final, as well as developing camera systems for our dynamic and interactive gameplay camera. I'm also responsible for building out gameplay conversations, and the tools used to create them.
As an Encounter Designer at Sony Santa Monica, I was responsible for the design and choreography of fight sequences in God of War (PS4) and its upcoming sequel, Ragnarok. This entailed the creation of custom fight scenarios for specific level layouts, balancing the game with engaging, challenging, and rewarding combat.

Cinematic Exploration of Unreal 5.0
- Video detailing my experience of learning Unreal 5.0 for cinematics and gameplay cameras.
New World: Malek Devoured Cinematic
- Scripted and blocked the sequence into the game.
- Imported fbx files from Maya for character and camera animation.
New World: Rima Performance Cinematic
- Built completely using proprietary timeline tool and scripting in Lumberyard.
- Everything is in-game, including characters, environments, cameras.
- Blocked scene and added all cameras. Used animations from animation library.
Star Wars: Legacy of the Sith trailer
- I worked on several of the shots in this trailer.
- The trailer contains clips from over 10 cinematics that I worked on for this expansion.
- In addition to the camera work, I also implemented animations, and VFX.
Legacy of the Sith Cinematic: Powering down the ion cannon
- I authored this cinematic from storyboard to completion. The cinematic consists of 3 locations broken up by sections of gameplay (not shown).
- All the cameras were authored by me.
- All animations were placed by me.
- Many of the VFX were placed by me.
WWE 2K22 gameplay cameras
- I made innovations to the ringside and in-ring camera to better frame the characters, diminish blind spots, and enhance depth.
- I also worked on story mode cameras, finisher cameras, and designed several innovations to the camera toolset.
Heroes of the Storm Trailer
- I worked on several of the shots in this trailer.
- In addition to the camera work, I was also responsible for set dressing, implementing animations, lighting, and fx.
World of Warcraft Cutscene
- All camera work in this scene was storyboarded and animated by me.
- I also implemented character animations and fx for this scene
God of War Encounter Design
- All fights in this clip were staged and choreographed by me
- The fights include encounters on the main quest, as well as those in exploration.
- All enemies are tuned based on player level and progression.
- Spawns placed in Maya and scripted with lua.
God of War Combat Trailer
- This trailer was shown at Paris Games week 2017.
- I choreographed the combat encounter, and was responsible for enemy placement, spawns, and pacing.
- Combat encounter was placed in Maya and scripted with lua.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider Trailer
- Much of the camera design in this trailer was pulled from my work in the game.
- In addition to designing the in-game camera, I also animated the camera for several of the non-interactive sequences.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider Gameplay
- Along with another camera designer, I was responsible for designing and polishing the cameras in this level.
God of War Ascension Trailer
- Along with other camera designers, I was responsible for camera design on God of War Ascension.
God of War 3 Trailer
- I worked as a camera designer on God of War 3.
- Several of the shots in this trailer were designed by me.
God of War 3 Demo Reel
- This video includes some of the camera design that was worked on specifically by me.
Interactive, Cinematic, In-Game Camera Presentation
This powerpoint presentation on in-game camera systems was created for the Immersive Worlds conference at Brock University in 2007.
